Trying to Install a Google AdSense Script

(1/2) > >>

GCMain:
Hello,

I'm trying to install my Google AdSense script into my SMF 2.0.2 index.php page that will appear at the top of the page after the navigation bar, but before the boards start.

I *think" it goes between here (in the Beginning on Line 174 box):

--- Code: ---// Show the navigation tree.
   theme_linktree();
--- End code ---

and here:

--- Code: ---   // The main content should go here.
   echo '
   <div id="bodyarea">';
--- End code ---

but I want to be sure because I don't want to break the code. I've already done that once before and had to install another theme.

Also, is there another place I can put another script or banner? If so, where?

If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it!

Arantor:
Why not use the Ad Management mod, will allow you to easily put ads in and also hide them from admins.

GCMain:
Thanks. I downloaded it but after reading the installation instructions, it looks to be beyond my scripting capabilities.

I'm just concerned that I'll make one wrong ad and ruin the whole thing.

If you buy the Pro version, will they install it for you?

Arantor:
The 'Ad Seller Pro' is for something a bit different.

Really though, you can install the general Ad Management mod through the package manager in SMF and it should be able to work for you that way - but you can pay $15 for the maintainer to install it for you (at least last I checked)
