Can't get rid of unapproved topic...

Hi there
SPECS: SMF v2.0.2, default theme.
MODS: Same mods that have always been there. Haven't changed anything and have never had this issue before. Been all day working on it with no luck.
PROBLEM: I can't seem to make the "ghost" topic in the Moderation Center under "Unapproved Posts" go away. When I click on "Topics (1)" or the bold red "(!)", it says "There are currently no topics awaiting approval".
WHAT USUALLY WORKS (BUT DIDN'T WORK THIS TIME): Repair/Optimize DB (in phpMyAdmin), Empty out unimportant logs, Empty the file cache, Optimize all tables, Recount all forum totals and statistics and Find and repair any errors (from SMF's Admin Center).

I just can't make it go away. Any ideas?. Is there an SMF table in the database that, if emptied/truncated, would clear this out?.

I've had this once or twice - unfortunately I cannot remember exactly how I resolved it.
HOWEVER, I seem to recall one of the actions I tried was to go to Admin > Configuration > Core Features and turned off "Moderation, Administration and User Logs". I think I then visited the board with the ghost topic, clicked a couple of things, then returned to the ACP and reenabled the above feature.
Whether that was the activity that sorted it or not I cannae remember, but it costs little to try so give it a whirl.

You know... I have no idea, I'm afraid. :(
I had a look in phpmyadmin and there's a table labelled "xxx_approval_queue".
Mine's showing everything to be either empty, or nil.
Might be worth backing the ol' database up and murdering things, in there.
