Way to Make Forum Titles Appear in Plain Text on Forum Page
alphacaveman:
Ok, I'll try to clarify the title of this thread.
What I'm asking for is, when you click on a forum category, like this one is SMF 1.x Support, is there a way to make that title appear on the page in plain text (non linked)?
It can be in addition to the linked one in the navigation tree. But if there's a mod out there that might do that...I'd appreciate knowing about it. Thanks.
Arantor:
Right, so when you click on a board, and you see all the threads in that board, you want it to also have the board name...
Where on the page do you want it? How big? What style?
There is AFAIK no mod for this. It will likely be specific to your site and theme.
alphacaveman:
Thanks for your response. I'd want it to the left of "Pages: 1 2 3 4 5 6..." So it would look like:
Forum Name | Pages: 1 2 3 4 5 6...
It'd be great if I could be guided on how to do that. :)
Arantor:
By forum name, I take it you mean the board name.
The trouble is, the function that runs that is used throughout many parts of SMF. I'm not at home so I can't look into it fully, but it's Subs.php, createPageIndex() that you will be modifying.
alphacaveman:
Sorry, I'm not good enough with SMF or even PHP to know what to do. So if it's possible, I'd sure appreaciate you walking me through how to make it happen.
Thanks very much.
