Kioreker:
Wow, it was a great answer.

I really wanted to know why the tool isn't available for the other pages. You solved my doubt. Also, I will save this post to clear another doubts.

My objective is translate almost all pages to spanish, I know that it will be complicated because there are a lot of information but it will be ready in a couple of months.

We'll Keep in contact. Greetings from México.

Thanks a lot, AngelinaBelle.   :D

AngelinaBelle:
This is a LOT of work.  If you are doing this much work, please join the translation team.
I want to see this work turn out very well.

I do not want to see any of this hard work wasted because of problems on the wiki.

Unfortunately, I think there will be problems getting such a large task done.
Because the tools are not so good.

So please keep in contact.  And please talk to Dzonny, also.

Thank you so much for your help.

Just a small concern: (not to kill your enthusiasm Kioreker ;)) are we really ready at that point for something similar?
I mean: at the moment we don't know (at least I don't remember any clear decision) on how to proceed with the translate extension.
If we want to put "everything" under the translate extension I feel that translate now pages just creating a sub-page will be a bit of a mess (only because we are not sure how the translate extension would react if a sub-page is already present).

Okay, tomorrow I'll try to install again wikimedia and the translate extension (though not the one we have here probably...).

AngelinaBelle:
I would love to be able to put translate extension for everything because I think it would make the job easier for all the translators.  But, about the time of the addition of nginx and some other server changes, it stopped working so well. I do not know if it will work better some day, when we are able to upgrade the wiki and test the newer version of the translate extension in the same environment.

I think you are correct that it could be necessary to remove existing sub-pages before putting a page under the translate extension.  On the other hand, since we don't have an active site team, it could be a long wait until the translate extension is ready for us... It is hard to say no to translators willing to work today!

Kioreker:
Ok, understood.

I recognize that is more difficult translate without the translation tool but is not impossible. Don't worry, if persons really wants to help they will do (although they spends more time researching).

You should consider that is too difficult that a “real translator” (a person who studies a career of “languages” and don't know anything about computers) helps to translate in the wiki. It is most possible that an administrator does because we are familiarized with all topics about SMF. So, if an admin who knows about “tags, structures, programming, templates, etc” helps to translate, won’t be difficult for him do it without the tool.

Yesterday I was "reviewing" the templates. I have created the templates for "es" (spanish) from the "Translatable templates" section.

Now, the section "Using smf - As a regular user" (articles with “/es”) looks pretty good because with the new translated template the title of the sections already appears in spanish and the articles are complete. I just need review that all links are corrects but almost all work in that section is made. (I attached an image)
:D

I will continue translating the other sections and making the necessary changes.
I only need a few time to understand in deep the things about wiki and all another topics. I had not worked with a “wiki” until this time.
