How do i convert SMF to PHPBBFM

perhaps you have to change something...in fact:
 you are waiting the request for see what mod or not you will do...
you have to go on phpbb or vb and see what are the most used hacks...and do it.
like this people will have a real pleasure to change for smf. a board with more 200 or 300 addons like phpbb will be always more attractive than a board with 10 or 20 mods. no? and dont tell me about the quality and not the quantity. on a board soft...people need a lot od different addon...only for the fun.

now, u say why change...have you ever thought people was using SMF because they stayed f*ck*d with yabb ? no converter for other board than your is working good....so what the hell...its only because you was yabb team. and all yabb user after pass to yabbse have seen they was stucked on SMF. no other option. you will recieve a lot of i want convert to phpbb or vb...u have to assume.

There is definitely no need to go from YaBBSE to SMF. There are plenty of converters from YaBBSE to other forums.... I am on SMF because I wanted so not because I was forced so.

For those who like mods: there will be many more mods after SMF is final.

In addition: no swearing please.

not true at all ANDREA. be sure, i have tried all the converter possible. with a big database, theyre is always a problem, when its not the converter himself. i passed hours to test all possibillity, and if phpbb was good at first, i saw he trunck the yabb password to 2 letters...too bad, not compatible for the converting crypted key.
so, i passed to SMF, looking if i was able after to convert to phpbb or vbulletin. now, its not possible. i am not the only.
ah, of course, i understand SMF team isnt here for devellop converter for other board. evident.

Most reasons I have seen for converting from SMF is that thier friends think it looks childish. It is not SMF's responsibilty to make converters to convert to other forums. If the demand was high enough to convert to other forums they (the other forum softwares) would have converters.

Infact vbulletin does have a converter from SMF, and phpbb will develop one after thier 2.2. One for phpbb is being made by a 3rd party but he does not have time.

If so many people wanted to get away from SMF Anarchy, forums like invision, phpbb, or vbulletin would make converters. But the demand is only a couple people here and there.

More  people are looking to convert to SMF, not get off of it ;)

Most people looking to move from SMF are looking to do so only because they "need" a certain mod (these are usually the "script kiddie" gaming range, who want to have every last thing added on).... frankly, I could do without the type of people who go swearing around and say "gimme, gimme, gimme".  Exactly the same age range.
