Any Themes with Permitted copyright Removal License?

Hi

I have looked a a few smf theme sites and they all say that copyright removal is not permitted  on the paid themes.

Does anyone have any themes were you can purchase a license to remove the copyright from the footer?

Maybe this isn't standard with SMF themes, but with other themes (say WP for example) there are some sites which allow the removal for a fee, I used one where I paid $15 to allow me to do this.

So if anyone knows of any themes where this is allowed would be greatful.

You should contact Theme author to of the theme which you like regarding same.

You could look for themes under a fully open license.  For instance all of my themes are under the MIT/X11 license. Which basically states you can do what you want.


There are some other themes under the BSD3 and GPL aswell.

I'm curious, why remove the copyright?

You'll have to leave SMF's copyright in there as well if you want to continue receiving support.

Well the reason is I am a web designer, so some people will of expected me to have designed it, and if there is no name in the footer (i understand I can't take credit) they will likely assume I have, but I'm not a theme designer, sure I could if I had the time to give it a shot but at present I don't.
