I have no idea what you're asking, Tony, I'm afraid.

If it helps, which I seriously doubt, when I try to access your forum, I'm getting "Database Error
 Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.."

Might I suggest that you get on to your host and say something like

If you get an "Index of <dir name>", it means that the server is not finding SMF's index.php (or any index.html or index.htm) file there.  If the file is there and readable (644 permissions), check if someone has fooled around/hacked the site configuration or .htaccess file (directoryIndex command) to not look for index.php any more.
Please do not PM me with support questions, unless I ask you to. Unsolicited PMs for support will be ignored. It's best to have questions and answers in public, so others can research a problem and learn about it without having to ask the question yet again. Thank you!

Were you running 2.02 previously? Maybe you were running an older version of SMF such as 1.1x?

No I was running 1.1.16 so tried to install 2.0.2 upgrade and got that message. I'm really confused as to which upgrade I need to do.

OK, so now I just installed the sms_1-1-16_upgrade and keep getting the following message;

Database Error
Table './tseatcc_tseatcc/smf_log_online' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
File: /home/tseatcc/public_html/smf/Sources/Subs.php
Line: 2583

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.16, while your database is at version 1.1.9. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

But I'm so confused that I don't know what to do anymore. Please help me. Thanks!
Tony

When you upgrade to a different version, you need to run upgrade.php which comes in the upgrade package. It should be found in your forum's root directory after unzipping the archive. This will convert your database to work with the new version.

When you say 'run upgrade.php' that's the part that's confusing me now because I'm not exactly sure how to 'run' it. It's doesn't appear to be an executable file.

Another question.. so should I have upgraded from the 1.1.16 to the 1.1.16 upgrade or direct to the 2.0.2 upgrade?

Thanks,
Tony

Point your browser to the normal URL, except put "upgrade.php" at the end, instead of "index.php".

So, perhaps, something like:

http://www.tseatc.com/smf/upgrade.php

Ah.. OK that's great. I did do it and now got this;

Upgrading...
Updating Settings.php... Successful.
Updating and creating indexes... Unsuccessful!
This query:

    SHOW INDEX
    FROM smf_log_online;

Caused the error:

    Table './tseatcc_tseatcc/smf_log_online' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

(that was with the 1-1-16 upgrade. Now I'll try to upgrade using the 2-0-2 upgrade)

Might be good to go to your CPanel>Databases and try a repair, for that.

No that shouldn't be happening if the upgrade already finished. Did you encounter any errors during the upgrade?

No, I didn't encounter any errors during upgrade. Anyway, at least it is up and running again. It made several changes but I can sort that all out later.

I just want to say THANK YOU ALL HERE FOR YOUR AWESOME ASSISTANCE! I really appreciate all your help here.

Repaired database via Cpanel.  Now working again.  I have no clue what went wrong.
