'Index of /smf' suddenly appearing???

No, I didn't encounter any errors during upgrade. Anyway, at least it is up and running again. It made several changes but I can sort that all out later.

I just want to say THANK YOU ALL HERE FOR YOUR AWESOME ASSISTANCE! I really appreciate all your help here.

This message is from the "maintenance mode", so if you can access the forum  you can go to admin > configuration > server settings > general and remove the tick from "enable maintenance mode".

Otherwise you can edit your Settings.php file and change:

--- Code: ---$maintenance = 1;
--- End code ---
to

--- Code: ---$maintenance = 0;
--- End code ---

Repaired database via Cpanel.  Now working again.  I have no clue what went wrong.
