I survived blackout 2003
Parham:
Thursday - Power goes out, thought it was only my house, walk outside, see everyone standing outside... missed 4:00PM episode of simpsons LOL. Barely got reception on cell phone, only one cord phone in house, no power. Spent night sleeping by my cell phone, the one cord phone, and a lighter on the floor.
Friday - Power came back on at 12:07PM, but phone went COMPLETELY dead, ditto for cell phone, very bad reception. TV's were going crazy with stories.
Saturday - Phone comes back, cell phone comes back, power still normal... but INTERNET GONE!
Sunday - Internet still gone!
Monday: 10:00AMish, internet comes back
Internet was gone because the blackout caused some serious problems at my providers HQ. People inside Toronto (Ontario, CANADA) were fine, but people just a little north of the city had no internet access. I was about to opt for dialup when I realized I haven't had a modem inside my computer for ages.
So to conclude - 19:54 no electricity, 89:35 no internet

oh I did I did... that's why I slept with a lighter beside me just in case one died out.
