Is there a translator on SMF...?

 Hi,
 I am working with 2.0.2   I have all languages installed and am converted to utf-8...... Some people that are posting..... are posting in their own language.....
Is it supposed to be converted to english if that is my default language.....?

 Well its not and I can't read what they have said....... so, what do I need to do to make it translate back to english ....?     or does it just not do that....?

trebor09, if you have properly set up SMF for UTF-8 and use UTF-8 language files, all messages will be stored and displayed correctly whatever the choice of language in SMF and whatever language is used in messages.

SMF language packs are the translation of strings used in SMF for interfacing with the user and/or the administrator and moderators in different languages. There is no online translation, with different language selection different (already translated) language files are used.

If you are interested in message translation you could try Quick Translation mod, keeping in mind that machine translation is far from perfect.
