Why didn't I receive email to approve a new user's request to join forum?

Hello,

My church just installed SMF on our Web site via GoDaddy, our hosting provider.

We're experimenting with SMF to see if this is good for us.  I'm the forum admin.

One of our members registered.  He said that he received an email stating that his registration would be reviewed and if approved, he'd get an another email about the approval.

As the admin, I did not receive his registration request.  I checked our GoDaddy account to make sure that the admin email is correct.

Why didn't I receive his registration request at my email account?

Thank you! Blessings!

Illori:
you have to select the option to get an email on new registrations, i dont believe it is enabled by default.

Shambles:
Also, check his request is actually queued in Admin > Members > Members... > Awaiting Approval

triumphantchurch:
Thank you both for your replies!

Blessings!

OK.  I did receive the email notification for the new forum user.   I approved it.

But, the new user did not get the automated email that their membership was approved.

The online manual says they are suppose to:
Approval - If a message about member approval is displayed, the new account must first be approved by an administrator before login. An email acknowledging the new member is sent to their email address. Another email is sent later to inform them whether or not their application has been approved.

How do I do this?  I cannot find this setting anywhere.  Help!  Please!
