what happen when someone clics in the addthis button?
users have to select something?

Took a lot at the AddThis Api and what I wanted was not email.

I used "mailto"

Email App mailto Email/IM Service AddThis menu mail program service

Hello all,

I was told "please use the support topic for the mod you have installed" so I hope this is the correct area. I rarely post here as many questions have been answered by either other informative posts or by trial and error, but this one I'm just a little stumped on

I installed the "Addthis button in first post" mod, which appeared to be the only mod for us running pre-2.x versions of SMF. The mod indicated that it was compatible with 1.1.11 and I happen to be using 1.1.12.

The mod itself appears to be operating to some extent within the forums, but I am not getting the preferred sharing choices that are pre-selected. When accessing the admin panel I do not get any of the legends for the files. It also give me the following error in my log:

File: /home/serverpath/public_html/domainpath/smf/Sources/ModSettings.php Line: 231

Which contains the following text - $txt['addthis_admin'],

I looked at the modifications.english.php as well as the ModSettings.php but with my limited PHP skills I wasn't able to do much regarding this. I am hoping somebody may have a suggestion to either get this to work properly or perhaps point out a mod that will work under 1.1.12.

Thanks in advance,

Bill

Any chance of update to manage 2.0RC5? I was enjoying the mod which worked fine in 1.xx13 current version. But now could not install in 2.

Are you planning to add SSL support? :)  Right now, your code calls http://s7.addthis.com, even when the Forum is called from https. This causes security warnings in some browsers.

By the way, if you do plan to implement this, you will want to remove the Twitter button, because Twitter buttons cannot be called over HTTPS. A workaround is to use the (less pretty) button from AddThis, see this post: http://www.addthis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=27082

I have moved the (less pretty) Twitter button from AddThis to the first position, that looks best I think. ;)

Excellent mod Frony works fine on 2.0.1

Is there any way to put the buttons below the first post content rather than above? Would I have to edit...

Code: [Select]
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis_widget.js#pubid='.$modSettings['addthis_pub'].'"></script>'. $message['body'];

Maybe I'm a bit thick, but where can I find my profile ID? In my AddThis "get code" account section I can find nothing like the code that was auto-filled, only my user id...

Is there a way to show this how it is in the sample image, in the topic bar itself not above the post?

I concur, as it is it looks a bit messy and haphazard...

I guess this is dead by now? I still can't get it to appear in the topic bar...
