how do I change a theme

I installed a new theme but it's not looking any differently. Is there someplace I'm suppposed to go after I've uploaded it, to activate it?
I'm really confused.

Looking:
You need to choose it as your theme via your profile or make it the default theme via Admin.

Shambles:
Never fails to amaze me how folk are hesitant to investigate their Admin options.

Thanks for the help. Except I find the theme very unintuitive and with "mystery meat" navigation. You have to poke around for hours to find stuff.
