Moderate Posts with Links

curmudgeon61:
Hi everyone - thanks for helping out a newbie.

I have inherited two SMF forums that came with a new client.  I'm decent with php/mysql but I have not worked with SMF before this client.

My client would like the ability to have posts that contain links to go into a moderation queue for approval before they are live for all to see.  After searching this forum I have a couple of questions:

- First, as best I can tell, there seems to be no post moderation of any kind in the core system or mods for the SMF 1.1.x series or any planned for the 2.0 version.  Is this correct?

- Second, what is the level of effort involved in writing a mod like this?  In other words, it might be easier to switch to another forum that supports moderation approval for posts with links.

Opinions please.

Kermit:
Post moderation system is already a default feature on SMF 2.0

curmudgeon61:
These are very lightweight forums - little traffic - simple themes.

Can you link me to any docs that describe how the post moderation is going to work in 2.0?

Is the 2.0 beta version stable enough to be worth the upgrade to get post moderation?

Thanks again.

curmudgeon61:
BTW - I found an Anti-Spam mod that allows me to turn off posts with links for now - and that is working.

Kermit:
I would say ,SMF 2.0 Beta 4 is stable enough for me

Post moderation can be activated/deactivate via AdminCP

AdminCP -> Features and Options -> Post Moderation and there is a gray switch button, which should be clicked once,so button color would be green after the activation and save it

After activating this, Post Moderation title would be clickable,so just click on that and adjust your own options for each membergroups ,that's it

or here

AdminCP -> Permissions -> Post Moderation
