SMF can't connect to database?

Hello,

I should add, my forum has not been used in a month and a half or so. Just Friday, the forum went down with this

"Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later. "

I have contacted my host, but they say everything is fine on their end, and the database. I was redirected to check with you what the error could be with SMF itself.

Help please? I do believe I'm running on the 2. version as I don't know it on top of my head.

Yep repair_settings or simply make the changes in settings.php. Verify that the database connection settings are correct.

Thanks a lot! I figured it out. It was because I previously changed my password to the hosting. weird I did not know this. Great stuff! whew!
