Slightly Easier Permissons
« on: January 10, 2012, 03:27:25 PM »
I like the current permissions system and am a fan but I think there should be some options that are available. There is currently an option to require a capcha to be entered for users below a certain post count. It would be much easier if this could be set for things such as editing their advance profile and sending personal messages, if this could be done on posts it would 1. Reduce Spam, and secondly make it much much easier to set this up. Permissions can be complex at the best of times and taking the permission of the default group and adding it onto all the post count membergroups is very confusing.

Since permissions can be applied by post counts, and Suki recently added permissions for all the extra profile bits, I'm marking this as done.
Never sacrifice who you are just because someone has a problem with it.

You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

Damaged people are dangerous. They know they can survive.
Also, for years I have marvelled at the technical ingenuity of certain people, even if the practical usability was questionable. My goal is to outdo their technical ingenuity - for practicality. The king is dead. Long live the king.
