Customizing SMF > Mod Requests

Hello,

I am looking for a mod that when you mouse over it will show a small pop-up box with the preview of the link. I have found and tried some mods but they ether don't work or they are not compatible with 2.0.2

Any suggestions or ideas?

I think the OP is requesting a more general type, for all links.

Doing it is a bad idea because it requires loading the destination page, which if it is insecure raises the fact that such a thing can be used to stealth-infect users without them realising it.

On the other hand, taking a screenshot and saving it... there's also no good way to just make a static screenshot out of a page at least not without a *serious* amount of effort because you essentially need to create a modified browser that can render the page and save a picture of it. There are places that do this but they have a special dedicated setup for it, something well beyond most peoples' resources.
