Any Editor better than WYSIWYG?

Did I see you use "Congress" and "act" in the same sentence!? Watch that potty mouth!

Yes, SMF's WYSIWYG editor has a lot of problems, and who knows when it will be fixed. Besides, the objective of WYSIWYG is to produce posts with the BBCode in them, and who knows what kind of control codes or HTML content from an RTF editor is going to contain (if any). You might have to implement all sorts of different filters to convert them to BBCode.

Why does everyone seem to have a compulsion to write their posts in Word (or some other word processor) and then cut and paste it into SMF, where they're just going to have to mark it up again? This introduces all sorts of problems, not only with lost formatting but also with Smart Quotes. If a document is to be saved as a .doc, that's one thing, but as a glorified typewriter, it's silly.
