Any Editor better than WYSIWYG?

That doesn't retain formatting.
The problem with WYSIWYG formatting is that it must be converted back to bbcode anyway to make it work in SMF (since allowing raw HTML causes other security risks)

Not entirely, no. It produces odd characters that you can blatt (To use a techie term), though, dunnit?

No... if you post in HTML into the WYSIWYG editor (so all the formatting is retained, which is the point), there is no safe way to implement that in SMF without converting it back to bbcode.

SMFPacks WYSIWYG editor integrates into SMF and replaces the core editor, but it's 25 bucks. Obviously, the buggy SMF version is fixable, but dang, it takes an act of congress to get anything done.
