I can't see any mods in Configuration Menu after I installed them.

Hi, I'm new to SMF and don't know much about php, but will try my best to describe the issue :).

I'm currently using 2.02 version. After I uploaded any mods and installed them, I can't find the way to configue them since they don't show up in Configuration menu. However, I always get sort of "You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!", but changing the owner of the directory to myself instead of apache tended to make them through.

Do I overlooked something or may be the server's fault?

Do these mods show up when you go to Admin > Main > Package Manager > Browse Packages... ?

If they do, do they have an "uninstall" option listed alongside them?

Yes, they're. For example, I'm going to uninstall "Global Headers Footers" and it showed me sort of failure due to some tests. I don't know what they mean but seems to be serious.
