Restrict PMs

Bob La Londe:
I have a user who is publicly the nicest guy in the world, but is often abusive of the PM system.  I would like to create a group I can assign that user to which has no ability to send PMs.  Is this possible.  I'ld like the group to be invisible as to not publicly humiliate the user.  That may come later. 

Anyway, is this something that can be done?

Probably the best option you have here is to enable the option to deny permissions (admin > permissions > settings), then create a group with the permission to send PMs denied and assign that group to the member as secondary group.
