That has been fixed a while ago in 2.1. :) (maybe not fixed in a perfect manner (i.e. I just removed the isAllowedTo, while I should have moved it a bit below to know if there are PMs to see), but there is time to fix the fix :P)

In my case, use of such a system would be for display to other forum users, primarily by use of a "banned" star.  I've set myself a membergroup for "banned users" that has such a star.  That membergroup has no permissions to anything, including even to view forum areas.  But for other users of the board the key thing is they know that a user is no longer part of the site if they come across an old post buried in a thread, and that's denoted by the banned star.

At present, banning a user clearly changes something in the regular, hidden, membergroups, but doesn't allow us to display that banned status.

Thanks, that's close, but for me I would like it to display my chosen star image, rather than simply changing the personal text, which is what that mod seems to be doing.
