Package Parser
tyty1234:
Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've been around the SMF community, I've actually been absent for a very long time (which explains my outdated mods...), but I just thought I'd share something with you guys that I implemented. So a long while ago, a user by the name of Daniel15 created a Package Parser so that SMF users could parse SMF modifications for manual installation purposes. He released it to the public I believe on his old Dansoft Australia site (it resides here now) so that others would host his Package Parser for people to find and use. This package parser actually still exists over on Resourcez.biz, but a while ago, seeing the small flaws in Daniel's beta of his package parser, I had the source files myself of the package parser and decided to create a new package parser, based off of Daniel's code as I had to familiarize myself with XML classes and objects already implemented into SMF. So a few weeks of coding and debugging, and then modifying later and improving its design, it resulted into this. <<-- (link to package parser)
This package parser parses bbcode in in the readme file, and also supports boardmod (.mod) modifications (if any are still being developed...most are now in XML format). Like the original parser, you can view install and uninstall instructions, and show all edits or only theme edits. It's also kind of like the ssi_examples page and uses the curve theme, but I put a lot of work into creating a package parser that I hoped others would find useful and one that was fresh, and updated. If you guys like it, feel free to share and link to it. This same package parser is also available on SMF Helper here.

Kindred:
Actually, the mod site has a package parser built in.....
tyty1234:
Yes, I am most certainly aware of that Kindred.
DoctorMalboro:
What if the mod is not official? I find this useful, thanks tyty1234!
tyty1234:
Why thank you DoctorMalboro! I'm glad you find this useful :)
