Install Problem
kbeck:
Hi. I have just moved to a new server (Windows 2008 Web). PHP version is 5.2.17 and MySQL is version 5.1.56
I am trying to do a fresh install (2.0.2) and am getting "Critical Error. The Version of your database is very old, and does not meet SMF's minimum requirements."
Any ideas? Thanks.
Arantor:
Check what version of the MySQL connector you have between PHP and MySQL.
kbeck:
Sorry, that's above my pay grade. Can you tell me how to check.
Arantor:
You should be able to do this with a php info file - What is a phpinfo() file?
kbeck:
Thanks. I created the info file and it says MySQL Client API is version 3.23.49 which I assume is the problem. Strange that would be on a Windows Server 2008 install that I just leased. Have asked about an upgrade, but if they won't , I guess I'll just have to install the 1.1.16.
