Can't get Analytics to work

Thanks - those backslashes are the key, since the script is echo'd.
That is a bit unusual, so I have never come accross that before, since I'm not a PHP programmer I just tried the code Google provided.

When that didn't work, I followed the other advice as I already mentioned, but without the backslashes.

Any scripts that requiers to be put in the index.template.php above the closing head and uses ' needs a backlash like this \' and it won't break the forum

but when i log out from my account and enter again it tells me we can not verify your account credentials what seems to be the problem
