NHWD:

--- Quote from: Douglas on August 27, 2011, 12:30:39 PM ---At its basest sense, a forum is a social network, no matter what its intended purpose.  People meet, exchange ideas, make connections/friendships/etc.

I agree.

Antes:
You can't just separate social network & forum software, you can't even deny the power of "Login with Facebook" - "Sign Up with Twitter" buttons...

--- Quote from: Douglas on August 27, 2011, 12:30:39 PM ---I wonder how many other forum software packages are starting to embrace the concept of allowing people to log in/register with their social media accounts.  Guaranteed that vBullcrap is on the verge of doing that if they're not already doing that.

--- End quote ---

agree.

5 type of extra register/log-in = one step ahead from others.

- Facebook
- Twitter
- Gmail
- Live
- BrowserID

SMFHacks has a modification called "Social Login Pro" .

Antes:
we are not talking about money-talks stuff... We are talking about core feature.

Niteblade:
Apologies. At least we know that social logins are possible, though. And hopefully it will be implemented as a core feature in SMF or in one of the forks.
