Hi there everyone :)

I was wondering what I would have to do to only allow karma to be 0 or above. We enjoy the karma system on our forums but a lot of people down-vote someone just for the sake of it. The result is a lot of forum-newbies with about -5 karma, which I find pointless and annoying. We want karma to reflect the persons contribution, not the persons popularity.

I know the method to achieve this:
if(karma == 0) Don't allow change
else allow change.

Just not sure what files and things to edit.

Just disable negative karma, you can edit the setting for that at the karma settings page. :)

Hmm, there doesn't seem to be that option on my Karma settings page. I only see the mode setting, the minimum posts to edit karma, the wait time, admin restricted to wait time and the label settings...

Yep, the mode setting is what you are looking for. :) Just set that one to enable karma total. :)

I am already on karma total, but it doesn't prevent someone's karma from dropping below 0. My ultimate goal here is to prevent a negative value for karma.
