How many hours per day or week to manage a forum ?

Wow.  I didn't think a forum would take so much of your time.

I've been reading around this forum, trying to decide if I want to host a forum or not.

I also have SMF install on localhost, so I can fiddle with it.  So far it seems straight forward. I like it.

I spend maybe 3-4 hours a week, never get any spammers due to using some of the anti-spam mods on the mod site and group permissions ;)

it depends how active you want to be on your own forum, as well....

I used to spend close to 6 hours a day between three forums. Now it's down to about 2-3...

In the 51 days since I installed SMF, my forum stats have clocked me at 18 days and 3 hours logged in.  That's over 8 hours per day.  It would be more if I didn't have to work a full time job Monday to Friday  :D
