Hey guys,
I've been working on this one for a couple weeks now.  I'm trying to convert a small forum from Kunena to SMF.  Joomla is setup in my root folder.  SMF is setup in root/SMF.  They are on separate databases using separate usernames & passwords.  I've been trying to run the convert.php file, and keep coming up with this error:
---
Sorry, the database connection information used in the specified installation of SMF cannot access the installation of Kunena 1.5. This may either mean that the installation doesn't exist, or that the Database account used does not have permissions to access it.

The error that was received from the Database was: Incorrect database name 'a9b1100501455198.db.3958092.hostedresource.com'
---

I talked to GoDaddy, they said I can't setup SMF with the same database as Joomla/Kunena, cause their App Installer automatically creates a database when you install SMF.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not really technically inclined, but would it be a good idea to go into the server settings on SMF and change the database settings over to the Joomla/Kunena database settings?

Or, maybe a fresh install of SMF without using the App Installer and inputing the database info from the Kunena install?

Are the databases for both Kunena and SMF on the same database server?  They need to be if they are not.

You can only change the database settings over if you move the SMF database to where the new settings point to.

So far as I know, they are on the same server.

Kunena database: a9b1100501455198.db.3958092.hostedresource.com [nofollow]
SMF database:       a9b1209111215604.db.3958092.hostedresource.com [nofollow]

I've also tried installing SMF via FTP on the same database using the same username and password, and I still get the exact same error.

If this helps, I'm running:
Joomla 1.5.23
Kunena 1.7.2
SMF 2.0.2

Kunena table prefix _jos
SMF table prefix _smf

I have tried everything.  I've tried identifying Kunena in: root, root/components, and root/components/com_kunena

Does the SMF database user have permissions to access the Kunena database?
