Help, forum dying

<< < (2/4) > >>

Kindred:
something is very wrong with your configuration:

the javascript and css files are getting called from

--- Code: ---http://highland.mysticplains.org/

--- End code ---

actually, your entire forum, with the exception of the content seems to be pointing to that location, including your cannonical tags, which means that search engines are mis-listing your forums as well.

All of that contributes to poor forum/user performance

to see the error - clear your browser's cache.

Krash.:

Also, scratch default theme is not helping.  You need a custom theme, with appropriate images/graphics, so it looks like what it's about.  As with anything else, packaging is important.

Kindred:
no you do not...   the default theme is just fine (if a bit generic)

CONTENT IS KING. If you have content, user will come and participate, regardless of the theme - if you have no content, but a nice theme, users may come but won't stay.

Arantor:
Content is king for getting users to a forum, but having a bland/generic/unsuitable theme will discourage them from staying.

The two go together quite well, actually.

ApplianceJunk:
I agree with Kindred.
