[Rewrite] - Merging Topics

B:
Looks great! I just have a couple minor things to mention.

--- Quote from: Chas Large ---The Merge Topics screen will appear.

Let's just remove this sentence. :) It's pretty much accepted that something happens/appears/etc. when you click a button.

--- Quote from: Chas Large ---If notifications are not to be included with the merge, uncheck the boxes at the end of the selections.

--- End quote ---

In this instance "boxes" shouldn't be italicized. We use italics when mentioning text that is actually present on buttons/checkboxes/etc. in the software. So Merge Topics is italicized, because it's the text on a button. The generic word "boxes" isn't. :)

Chas Large:
Rewrite #3

--- Quote from: Chas Large ---Occasionally members may create duplicate or similar topics in different boards. It may be useful therefore to merge these topics into one for simplicity of reading and thus prevent further duplications.

To merge two topics into one, it is necessary to choose one topic for the the other topic to be merged into, this will usually be the earliest posted topic. Once chosen, open the topic and select the Merge Topics button at the bottom of the page. Select the desired target board from the drop down list and the individual topics in that board will appear below.

Now select the target topic from this list by selecting the page icon containing two vertical arrows that join at the point. The next screen displays the selected topics to be merged. If notifications are not to be included with the merge, uncheck the boxes at the end of the selections.

Choose the subject that will be shown at the top of the topic from the drop down list and if all subjects are to be changed to that choice you may check the Change the subject of all the messages option before finally selecting the Merge Topics button.

Woops! Missed that one. :) That one shouldn't be italicized, either.
