CentOS6 - [abrt] full crash report

<< < (2/2)

Arantor:
How will you know when you're successful in preventing something from happening?

CoreISP:
Oh sorry, I thought he said he hadn't finished setting SMF up so I figured his SMF was not even being used. Hence the innocence ;)

CyberShadow:

My apologies. I guess I wasn't clear.... No server errors so far.

CyberShadow:
Just to update on this, in case future generations search these boards with a similar problem - This solved my issue instantly. Many thanks.

Michael McNamara:
I realize this is an old post but I'm hoping to add to the discussion for the next person.

I just recently migrated from Apache (mod_php) to Nginx (php-fpm) and I've seen one occurrence of this crash within the first 24 hours of operation.

abrt_version:   2.0.8
cmdline:        host -W 1 61.xx.xx.xx
executable:     /usr/bin/host
kernel:         3.6.5-linode47
pid:            30309
pwd:            /srv/www/forums.networkinfrastructure.info/html
reason:         Process /usr/bin/host was killed by signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
time:           Mon 19 Nov 2012 10:52:43 AM EST
uid:            498
username:       nginx

I'm running CentOS 6.3 with Nginx 1.0.15 w/PHP (FPM) 5.3.18 on a Linode512 server.

While a workaround might be to disable hostname lookups I'm curious what's really happening here.

I'll update this thread if I find anything useful.

Cheers!
