Final ??? there's no news about an RC1, let alone a final!
I have a feeling most people have stopped looking for news of it

SMF 2.0 seems to be a good product, but 1.1 was already a pretty stable version, with a lot of mods now. So I can wait for a good and stable version, bug free, for 2.0 ^^

Hey, you can't do that. You're supposed to panic! :P
Mods - Manky Old Themes - Apocalypse theme (WIP)

Going through 2.0.x in detail is like picking through something that dropped out of the rear end of a vulture. Every couple of seconds I'm like "Oooo, that's gruesome. WTF is that doing in there?"

It doesn't matter if the glass is half empty or half full. There is clearly room for more beer.

I think so too. At least I have. And some other people I know have too for quite some time now.

Then they'll be pleasantly surprised when RC1 is released. Seriously, it shouldn't be that far away.

God i want wait for the new release, the new profile layout is deadly
"The Book of Arantor, 17:3-5
And I said unto him, thy database query shalt always be sent by the messenger of $smcFunc
And $smcFunc shall protect you against injections and evil
And so it came to pass that mysql_query was declared deprecated and even though he says he is not dead yet, the time was soon to come to pass when mysql_query shall be gone and no more."

For certain definitions of "tomorrow" right?

Seriously, there is no set release date. We do not follow a date for release because that leads to lots of problems when you release before it is ready.

Any times posted in this or other topics are at best estimates and at worst someone joking and messing with your head.
