Indexing the site on google
(1/1)
replay:
do i need to put some sort of Index.Html script file into the forum to make google look at it and list it as the name i am looking for on google..
i have used google indexing tools...and pointed google to the contents of the site...i have included sitemapping into the forum....
But
Last time i did this...i got a listing on google...that said Index... blurr blurr ...it did goto my site the google link...but the name was totally wrong on the google listing..as it was just called Index something.
Any ideas anyone.....
I am on the thoughts of making an indexing script file with meta tagging included and throwing it all into my forum page.
:)
Thanks for looking

I find that Google pulls back topic titles pretty well these days without any "extras" or mods, so if you have plenty of content then it'll find you.
A site map which you have will certainly help.
How long ago did you do all this because it can take anything from a few days to a few months to get noticed in the big G.
