1.1.16 to 2.0.2 large upgrade internal error ???

Hi,

I have just tried to upgrade from 1.1.16 to 2.0.2 following the instructions on the Upgrading page but when I navigate to Upgrade.php it just brings up a page saying the following:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@grassrootsforum.co.uk and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any ideas why this is coming up?

Try chmodding all your files to 755 and try again. I've had this problem myself too, because the permissions were set too high and chmodding it to 755 solved it :)

Tried this but still getting the same error, any other ideas?

Is there a .htaccess file available in the root of your forum? Sometimes, that can cause such errors. ;)

Found the issue, i'd accidently changed the permissions on the public_html directory
