Login failure at first attempt

I am having login problems with the error message "Password incorrect". I registered myself as a regular user, but when I try to log in I get this message. If I re-enter the password, it always works the second time. I have checked this on another PC with the same results. I tried deleting the username and re-registering but I still get the same problem. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Did you install any mod?
The first time you try to login do you use the quick login or the normal login page?

Two other thoughts...

Try both emptying the cache, in Admin>Forum maintenance and also try renaming the cookie, in Admin>Server settings.

Worked, for me, when I had that problem. :)

Thank you both for your replies. I have not installed any mods and I was using the normal front login page. I have since discovered that if I let LastPass (Firefox add-on) fill the login form for me, I have no problems. Strange it was only doing this on one signon though.
