Two small things (karma and template mod)

nave:
#1 we cant seem to make it so that members other than mods can use the  Karma function. i've included a screenshot of what i have checked in the Karma area in preferences




#2 did pretty well with customizing the template, but i can't figure out how to change the input boxes background color. i'd like them to have either a black background or an image. i've tried what i thought would work, in the css, but it's not doing it.
edit: got it to work.

Make sure you've given members the permissions to give and take people's karma.

thank you. thats what it was. we sorted it and are working through some other small issues, but so far are very happy with it. thank you
