'Index of /smf' suddenly appearing???

<< < (2/4) > >>

tonywells82:
No I was running 1.1.16 so tried to install 2.0.2 upgrade and got that message. I'm really confused as to which upgrade I need to do.

OK, so now I just installed the sms_1-1-16_upgrade and keep getting the following message;

Database Error
Table './tseatcc_tseatcc/smf_log_online' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
File: /home/tseatcc/public_html/smf/Sources/Subs.php
Line: 2583

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.16, while your database is at version 1.1.9. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

But I'm so confused that I don't know what to do anymore. Please help me. Thanks!
Tony

The Craw:
When you upgrade to a different version, you need to run upgrade.php which comes in the upgrade package. It should be found in your forum's root directory after unzipping the archive. This will convert your database to work with the new version.

tonywells82:
When you say 'run upgrade.php' that's the part that's confusing me now because I'm not exactly sure how to 'run' it. It's doesn't appear to be an executable file.

Another question.. so should I have upgraded from the 1.1.16 to the 1.1.16 upgrade or direct to the 2.0.2 upgrade?

Thanks,
Tony

K@:
Point your browser to the normal URL, except put "upgrade.php" at the end, instead of "index.php".

So, perhaps, something like:

http://www.tseatc.com/smf/upgrade.php

tonywells82:
Ah.. OK that's great. I did do it and now got this;

Upgrading...
Updating Settings.php... Successful.
Updating and creating indexes... Unsuccessful!
This query:

    SHOW INDEX
    FROM smf_log_online;

Caused the error:

    Table './tseatcc_tseatcc/smf_log_online' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

(that was with the 1-1-16 upgrade. Now I'll try to upgrade using the 2-0-2 upgrade)
