How to manage Server Load

Realinfo:
I have around 10,000 visitors ( According to google analytics) in a day

I have taken VPS 4 core with 3gb ram

But still my server get hang when load is more

Is there any steps those I can take to decrease or Manage server Load

in 2.0.2 Default theme with more than 200 MODS

Have you got any anti-spam mods installed and are you sure that they are setup correctly. stopping the majority of spam users and bots crawling your forum or post should help reduce the load on your server so then you know 99% of your traffic is legit crawls or real people. Once this is done you can then check the loads again and see where you stand and can take it from there.

10k visitors or 10k hits?
Got any stats like WebAlizer perhaps?

According to Google adsense I have 35,000 page visited daily on a average

and 10,000 vistors

250 people seems always online ( Users active in past 15 minutes:)

Almost no spam get register

But not sure about bots

Set seems ok

I have 10,000 real people who daily visits more than 35000 pages
