Cannot access install.php

Hi everyone,

I'm a computer website novice, trying to set up a SMF via host-ed.net.

I have done everything asked (by following the manual and lots of google / youtube searches!)

My host-ed site will be active within 48 hours from now.

I am using the tempory url access they gave me to set up SMF and SQL etc.

All required permissions are set to 755 etc.

When I type in the url/install.php it just asks me for my username and ID (which it accepts) but then takes me to the cpanel page only.

Any ideas how I can finish the installation. I've beentrying for 8 hours now and am starting to get really frustrated!!

Many thanks!

Hey, welcome to SMF! :) I'm not really sure what you mean, could you please post a screenshot?

Hi,

I'mat the stage of the SMF installation where I need to enter the domainname and install.php into the browser to complete the process....

when I do this it just takes me to this page:

https://176.9.105.210:2083/cpsess1235947940/frontend/x3/index.html [nofollow]

(I can't copya screenshot...)

Thanks again!
