Make posts older than amount of time undeletable

As the topic title says, I wonder how you can make posts older than a certain amount of time (Say 1 year or 6 months) unable for regular users or the poster to delete. I have looked in the Settings in the admin panel but not found any obvious options there. :/

There are no options for that at all in SMF.

Personally I don't limit it at all, I just make sure to use a recycle board so that if a member does delete a post, it's just moved to a hidden board where only I can see it, I find that's more than effective enough protection.

Can you move back the post to it's previous thread at a later stage then? So it looks like nothing happened I mean.

Sure you can. The information about which topic it came from is stored in the recycle bin.
