Hello
I use smf 2.01

I have  8 boards
On my first board i want to set the post edit time to 0 and on my other board i will set it to 10800 minutes.
Is that possible?
Thanks in advance
Best regards

CapadY:
No, this is by default not possible.

Edit time is everywhere the same.
As far is I know there is no MOD to solve this either.

noeyes:
Is there any  solution?
My problem is, i have a usergroup with 10 members, these members use the first board on my forum to announce events, and  my members in this group use the edit buttom.
In my other membergroups, i want to avoid the edit  to a week,  Some of the members, edit their posts after a few weeks or a month or longer, and I want to avoid this.
Is it possible to edit some files, to get this to work.
One membergroup with edit rights all the time, and the other groups with edit rights in a week.
Thanks in advance.
I hope you understand my bad English.
Best regards

Zirkon:
I think the only way around this is granting the group that makes announcements board Moderator privileges for that board only.

You can tweak the privileges for "Moderator" to allow whatever you are comfortable with but think that would be the easiest way around this problem. I believe a board Moderator should not be affected by the edit period.

okay i have tryed that, but now the users on my board can see the moderators for the board.
Is it possible to hide the moderators on a board.
Best regards
