Do they need to be displayed for anyone apart from moderators/GM's and admins?

Or in boards where people dont have full permissions? Seems pointless that they are displayed in boards that I cannot use them on.

I can only see them (the icon versions) on the etst board - I assume that they've set a special permission there.

I could see them on all boards, but as I don't have those privileges the drop-down menu at the bottom only had one option, a line of ---------.

IMHO, it would reduce joe-user confusion if they were unaware of it...
