Menu Editor lite issue

I installed menu editor lite as a package on my default theme ( i had already installed 2 other packages that created buttons on top menu bar like Google map and gallery lite) when i installed the menu editor lite package it installed properly but it removed the 2 buttons from the other 2 packages installed before menu edit lite.

that was ok, i went in through menu editor lite and added the 2 buttons back in with no problem ( just wanted to point out the above issue in case your working on a fix for that)

But my current problem is, ever since installing menu editor lite when any member receives a new pm it doesn't show that on the top menu "My Messages" button anymore with a count.

Example, before menu editor lite if i got a new pm on the top menu next to the "My Messages"button there would be a "1" by it indicating i had 1 new message, "2" if i had 2 new pm's...ect.

After installing menu editor lite it does not display that count of "1" or "2" or whatever count. There is no indication at all on that "My Messages" menu button that i have a new pm waiting for me. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Both those issues are already well discussed on the mod's own support thread, so I suggest you look there.  As a general rule, I read the support thread before I download any mod so that I know what I'm letting myself in for  ;)

There is a reply by someone in the official support topic with code to accomplish that.
