tngold:
Hello,
We converted from quicksilver forum, ichbin helped by updating the conversion script.
Our version is SMF 2.0.2
http://cokercreekgpaa.com/forum [nofollow]

All seemed to move over fine, but as I am getting used to the forum now, and the admin area, I am seeing several things not working...  Right now, nobody can post a message, reply or new topic.  That is the most major issue.

I will post the info from the conversion thread here as ichbin requested:

Other topic:
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=473654.0

here is the problems I posted there:

Seems things were going well, then for no apparent reason we started having errors. Nothing I did should have caused this error. It worked for a full day after I made my last change, that didn't take.  The next day, we saw that we could no longer post.

It has been long enough to notice a few things were not working, and in trying to get them to work, even more things broke... I am not sure if it is a setting problem, or something that did not convert fully. I have only tried changing the members permissions in the admin/themes area.

Example:  The rich text editor has never been there.  I finally found where to have it checked to work, in the themes members options.  However, nothing on that page stays checked after I mark to change and check the box.

i tried downloading and installing a different theme to see if it was perhaps a theme issue from the transfer, but it is doing the same thing.  We can approve and deny/delete/ban new members,,,  but the spammers keep coming in even with the security captcha at its highest setting.

The main issue at this point, and we did nothing when this happened..   we can read the posts, but you can not make a new topic or reply to a post.
It gives the error:
The following error or errors occurred while posting this message:
The message body was left empty.

Again, this is not in a quick reply,, because it is the only reply we have.  It is just plain text that is going in.  I tried things like hello, or tt or hh,,,  nothing will submit.

The sites error log shows this is coming up when trying to submit:
File does not exist: public_html/forum/Themes/default/css/print.css, referer: http://cokercreekgpaa.com/forum/index.php?topic=821.0 [nofollow] [nofollow]
of course the referring topic/thread is not important.  It will not submit at any time from anywhere.

This happened Saturday, and I was able to restore it from the day before's backup.  This happened again yesterday, or I noticed it then, but when I went to restore it, it did not make any changes.  Again, we did not do anything that created this issue, it just happened out of the blue.

I have tried the core, default, and sunset themes, and all have the same results with everything listed above.

Any ideas to point me in the right direction?
I have seen a ton of posts about the  message body being empty, but all seem to pop up for a different reason and nobody put in a fix that I could find.

Again, it is at http://cokercreekgpaa.com/forum [nofollow] [nofollow]

Thank you,
Tim L

does anyone have a clue on any of these issues?

Thank you,
Tim L

tngold:
Our forum is completely dead int he water.

Does Anybody have a clue what we can do to get it working???

Not a single person has replied to this thread yet.

Thank you,
Tim L

Sorry, Tim!

I didn't see this in either "Unread" stuff, or anywhere else. Otherwise, I'd've at least acknowledged your posts!

As it 'appens, I'm just about to hit the sack.

If nobody chips-in with some ideas, by morning, I'll see if I can help out, in some way.

Might be an idea, in the interim, to set up a test account, so that we can have a look, for ourselves.

Say, username "test", password "test"?

We may be able to get some clues, then. :)

EDIT: Bugger. Maybe I won't. I tried to go to your site and got a slap.

Seems like England's become Spam-Central... :(

MrPhil:
I'm puzzled as to why it's trying to load print.css on a post submit. Is this with Quick Reply or the full-blown Reply, or is when starting a new topic? In fact, from the other problems you've described, it almost sounds like the whole forum is trying to be in Print mode (output only). Is there anything in the URL that includes "print" as an action or anything like that?

I've never seen a forum get stuck in print mode, but as this is a conversion, I suppose anything is possible.
