MOD's and lang files

Owdy:
If MOD modifyes index.language.php file and creates backup file with ~, then in profile lang selection appear 2 times same language. Second is like 'finnish.'. If i choose that dotted version, all hell breakes loose. Is there any way to fix this? Other than delete that backup?  :)

Hmm, important point.  I recommend, for now, you delete the backups.  I'll fix this, though.
