Stop email sending with Private Messages

Give admins the power to determine if they want users to also receive an email when a user sends a private message.

Sorry I'm a little confused. Could you clarify? You want the admin to say whether a user can receive an email when they send a PM? Doesn't make sense to me...

well, the original request was to have a global setting that allows the admin to set the global baseline (which I agree with - we should have most of the user profile settable fields able to be globally set/baselined.

it seems that the OP has gone a step further and wants to be able to turn it off completely (basically taking the choice away from the user)
I disagree with that....

Actually, allowing the admin to disable the emails is something that they should have the ability to do.  It is their forum and their servers after all.  What wouldn't be acceptable is to allow admins to forcefully enable the option.

I don't see any problem with allowing the admin to block all mail sending for the various alerts that users can get, but the OP seems to want an option to allow administrators to override a user block and force e-mail sending. In other words, the users can't choose to receive or not, the admin determines it.

No, not force sending, but to globally disable the automatic email that is sent when a PM is sent on the forum. Users can still communicate with each other on the forum, but the email that is sent concurrent to all PM's no longer goes to their email. One issue is spam, the other issue is server use of emails when this happens. They're still free to communicate with each other on the forum.

I would like to change this as well. Any ideas?
