Importing members ONLY from 1.x to 2.0.2?
Kat9119:
I'm upgrading to 2.0.2. I don't want all the old topics and old mods/installs and all that junk. I want a clean install.
BUT, my users are upset they'd have to re-register again. I have 1000+ members. They don't want the hassle, and they want their avatars/signatures/stats in tact. I can't blame them.
Is there anyway to do this? and if so, how?
Looking:
Upgrading should not delete members or their info. You can prune topics you don't want.

You could always delete all the boards, if you like. That'll dump all the posts, too.
Kat9119:
Well, what I mean though is installing a new 2.0.2 install. And then import the members?
Not take my 1.1.16 and upgrade to 2.0.2. I have a lot of mods installed and addons like the arcade and stuff like that, and I have no idea how to begin getting rid of everything that way. It seems "fresher" to start from scratch with 2.0.2 and import the users/stats if I can.
Kat9119:
I think its possible based on other things I've read, but would be too difficult for me to figure out. So I've decided to go ahead and just do a complete fresh install. I'm going to tell users they can re-register with their old username/email and I'll check the backups for post counts and reinstate them if they'd like for a short period of time.
