Permissions problem I don't know how to fix

(1/4) > >>

Groovystar:
Here is the thread started by my members:

http://warriorcatsrpg.com/index.php?topic=380208.new#new

I checked the permission set for that board. It is set to allow all members to reply to their own threads. What is wrong?

K@:
Do these members belong to two different groups? Say, a "normal" one and a post-count one?

If so, the permissions could be interfering with each-other. (OO-ER!)

Groovystar:
No, there is no postcount-based thing in there. And this is a recent complaint. Until a couple of days ago nobody ever reported this happening.

It now comes out that at least one person cannot even post in there. I finally have switched the special permission settings off and put them on default, but this is only a temporary measure. I'm going to have to return the special permission set at least to some extent. What the hell would cause a permission set to just wack out out of nowhere?

It may help you....
Go to .....
Admin---> Members---->  Permissions----> General Permissions.

Groovystar:
Okay I'm looking in there. I'm just not sure what to look for.

The problem seems to affect regular members only, and of varying post ranks, only in this one board that has a special permission setting. The only real difference between it and default is that members can only respond to threads they started. {Except for staff.} It's a board set up for application submission and review, that's why. Now all of a sudden people saying they can't either reply or post at all in there.
