Is it safe to empty any of the "smf_log_*" database tables?
BGH:
Hello,
I'd like to know if I'm able, without further problems, to empty a couple of "smf_log_*" tables from the database, because they exceed 1000 records; more specifically smf_log_activity (1,268 records) and smf_log_digest (1,530 records). I want to know that if it's a safe thing to do, and what would happen after I emptied 'em.
I'm having an issue with this thing with my hosting provider, which says that it is safe to maintain databases below 15000 records, for small-to-medium-kind-of sites.
Thanks in advance!
Regards.

Read that to learn how to safely prune the logs.
BGH:
Thanks for the answer, BurkeKnight.
However, that solves my question only partially. I'd like to know about the tables I mentioned in my opening post: smf_log_activity and smf_log_digest, 'cos it seems that the pruning through the admin center, doesn't have any effects on those tables.
BurkeKnight:
Admin - Logs - Log Pruning
Then set the info and that should help.
Also, delete the old error logs, if any.
Arantor:
log_activity is used for the history of the forum, activity per day as seen on the stats page.
log_digest is used for handling the notifications of who should be sent them vs who has been sent them.
Leave them both alone unless you have good reason to modify them, same as with any other SMF table.
